NEWS FROM BREWERS FAYRE

NA-CHO AVERAGE TORTILLA CHIP

Brewers Fayre celebrate the launch of their new Tex Mex menu with the creation of the UK’s largest Tortilla Chip

To celebrate the introduction of their new Tex Mex all you can eat buffet and the rising popularity of Mexican cuisine in the UK, Brewers Fayre has created the UK’s largest Tortilla chip.

The ‘record breaking’ Tortilla Chip is made of normal ingredients of flour, salt and water and baked in a special 3 metre deep oven.  It includes more than 40 kilos of flour, 20 litres of water and weighs more than 50kg.  The giant 200cm x 150cm creation, which took bakers more than 50 hours to make and six team member to carry, has a total area of 30 square metres, which is the equivalent of 10,000 normal size tortilla chips.

Emma Price, Marketing Manager at Brewers Fayre said: “We are really excited to have created the biggest Tortilla Chip in the UK and we can’t think of a more fun way to launch our new Tex Mex all you can eat buffet”.

Guests at Brewers Fayre can enjoy a Tex Mex all you can eat buffet every Wednesday from 5pm for only £5.99/£6.49.  Customers can choose from a wonderful selection of Beef and Quorn Chilli, Vegetable Jambalaya, BBQ Pork & Beans, Chicken and  Vegetable Fajitas as well as the popular Tex Mex staples of Jalapeños, guacamole, and salsa and of course tortilla chips.  Log on to www.brewersfayre.co.uk for details.
